Here's just some of the painstaking work that went into Rihanna's 'naked' dress
THE SLINKY, SHIMMERY, see-through gown Rihanna wore to the Council of Fashion Designers of American awards earlier this week has already gone down as one of the singer’s most iconic looks.
She was there to collect the award for Fashion Icon of the Year, so obviously it was expected that she pull out all the stops – and she did just that.

A dress like that is bound to take a lot of work – sure enough the designer, Adam Selman, posted an Instagram video of his team carefully glueing Swarovski crystals to the sheer fabric one by one.
Selman, a good friend of the singer’s, also helped to design her River Island collections.
“We definitely wanted to make it a little bit scandalous,” he told Style.com.
We can only imagine it took hours – Selman said that eight people worked from 8pm on the night before the awards to 3pm that day putting the finishing touches on the dress.
Just the finishing touches, mind.
Was it worth it?
We say yes. Yes. A hundred times yes.
